MudHog (mûd - hôg) n.

1. a domesticated youth between the ages of 5 and 14, well padded and protected, with a desire to perform to the best of his or her abilities, often found on a football field or cheer mat in the Farmington (CT) Valley.

2. one that is dedicated and committed to the principles of teamwork, good sportsmanship, positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.

The Farmington Valley MudHogs Tackle, Flag and Cheer organization is a growing program comprised of volunteers and youths from the towns of Farmington, Avon, Burlington, Harwinton, and Canton and surrounding towns.
