Welcome to the 2026 Farmington Valley MudHogs season! We’re excited to kick off another year of fun, teamwork, and community spirit as we bring our athletes and families together from across the Farmington Valley.

 

The Farmington Valley MudHogs Youth Tackle, Flag, and Cheer program continues to grow thanks to the dedication of our incredible volunteers and the enthusiasm of our young athletes. Our program proudly represents families from the surrounding towns of Farmington, Avon, Burlington, Harwinton, and Canton, and we look forward to another amazing season of building skills, friendships, and MudHogs pride!

 

WHAT MAKES US STAND OUT!

 

Coaching Development is our #1 Priority!

One of the ways our program stands out is through our strong commitment to developing knowledgeable, well-trained coaches. We are continuing to strengthen our coaching program in partnership with USA Football by requiring all tackle coaches to be certified through their nationally recognized training program. In addition, we will incorporate MudHogs-specific coaching standards and training to ensure our athletes are developing the right skills as they progress from Squad C to Squad B to Squad A.

This structured progression is designed to prepare our athletes for the next level of play, including high school football. Certification is also strongly encouraged for coaches in our NFL FLAG program. Over the next three years, we aim to double the number of qualified and certified coaches in our organization to continue raising the standard of instruction for our athletes.

 

 

Structured Development for Athletes is Priority #2

To further strengthen our program, we are developing clear practice guidelines and skill progression plans for all coaches participating in both our tackle and NFL FLAG football programs. By creating consistent coaching standards and development pathways, we ensure that every athlete receives quality instruction at every level.

Our success begins with our coaches. By investing in their development, we create a strong foundation that benefits our athletes, builds confidence, and helps every player reach their full potential.
